To help increase productivity and efficiency while reducing fraud, poor cash flow management and manual reconciliation for travel agencies, Amadeus has partnered up with U.S. Bank to launch its Amadeus B2B Wallet. Through this strategic offering, travel agencies will have a financial technology solution to help alleviate the many ineffective and inefficient payment processes with their counterparts: travel suppliers.
The Amadeus B2B Wallet will offer U.S. Bank’s virtual payment technology to its travel agencies in the United States. The hopes for this offering is that the Mastercard-branded virtual card will help save time, improve efficiency and finances for Amadeus’ travel agency customers.
U.S. Bank’s Head of Strategy, Specialty Verticals and Partnerships, Nicole Tackett, commented on this partnership and what it means for the travel industry: “Partnering with Amadeus to advance their leading travel technology offering is a compelling opportunity for U.S. Bank. Integrating with one of the largest travel distribution systems in the world allows us to enhance our offering to the travel and hospitality industry and bring exceptional new capabilities to Amadeus customers.”
Currently, the Amadeus B2B Wallet is being offered to a few U.S. travel agencies, with plans to widen its scope later in the year.
