Medius Rolls Out Supplier Payment Service

Spend management and eProcurement software company Medius has rolled out an end-to-end payment automation offering called Medius Pay, according to a Monday (April 26) announcement.

“Many organizations understand the benefits of payment optimization but are limited by internal tools and [organizational] bandwidth to effectively modernize payment processing,” Medius CEO Per Åkerberg said in the announcement.

However, Medius Pay and its partner Nvoicepay aim to streamline, digitize and optimize the payment workflow, according to the announcement.

Medius Pay, which is included inside the Medius Spend Management collection of products, is completely connected with Medius AP Automation. It offers one safe channel for vendor payments and assists in streamlining the end-to-end invoice-to-pay process, spanning between vendor invoice and final settlement, according to the announcement.

A completely integrated invoice-to-pay offering that provides streamlined payment automation with an “exceptional user experience” will help clients of Medius. The offering offers a fully managed vendor setup and onboarding “with ongoing enablement.” It also provides a decreased risk of error or fraud in addition to “guaranteed and insured payment delivery,” according to the announcement.

The news comes as Medius and Pagero, the eDocument service company, have teamed to help firms contend with digital invoices. The new relationship allows their joint client base to obtain and process digital invoices in various formats throughout the globe.

Åkerberg said in a January announcement that the firm is offering “a one-stop-shop for global eInvoicing, in a solution and interface that our customers know and enjoy using.”

For a long time, Medius has provided firms with technologies connected to the accounts payable (AP) process. The tie-up with Pagero allows customers to “further consolidate management of all invoice types and formats into one solution — Medius AP Automation,” according to a past announcement.

“With Medius AP Automation and Pagero’s eInvoice processing and compliance services, it has never been easier to achieve end-to-end efficiency, control and compliance in the accounts payable operations on a global scale,” Alexander Jansson, vice president of partner development at Pagero, said in a previous announcement.
