Medius And Pagero Team On Digital Invoice Management

Expense management technology provider Medius and international eDocument service company Pagero have collaborated to help companies handle digital invoices. The new collaboration lets their joint customer base get and handle digital invoices in different formats throughout the world, according to a Wednesday (Jan. 13) announcement.

Medius CEO Per Åkerberg said the company has seen a number of clients grappling with various offerings and companies to deal with local digital invoice formats and rules. The executive said the company is providing “a one-stop-shop for global e-invoicing, in a solution and interface that our customers know and enjoy using.”

Medius has long provided companies with technologies related to the accounts payable (AP) workflow. The collaboration with Pagero lets clients “further consolidate management of all invoice types and formats into one solution – Medius AP Automation,” according to the announcement.

Medius and Pagero have created a standard connection linking Medius AP Automation with the Pagero digital invoicing network. Companies that harness Medius AP can begin taking digital invoices with support for compliance with local rules, according to the announcement.

The connection puts digital invoices into the AP workflow in the same manner as hardcopy invoices or a PDF, according to the announcement.

“With Medius AP Automation and Pagero’s e-invoice processing and compliance services, it has never been easier to achieve end-to-end efficiency, control and compliance in the accounts payable operations on a global scale,” Alexander Jansson, VP of partner development at Pagero, said in the announcement.

The news comes as Medius was bringing its MediusGo invoice automation technology to the U.S. market. Åkerberg said in an announcement at the time that the introduction served as “another important milestone on the Medius growth journey.”

Customers were to be able to access MediusGo through a broad network of partners such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) integrators, business process outsourcing companies, accounting firms and scanner makers.
