Detego Launches Omnicommerce Retail Software

Fashion retailers are using the new software to improve customers’ omnichannel shopping experiences.

Detego, a European retail software company, recently launched an in-store omnicommerce fashion retail software that features several omnichannel capabilities that can be used by consumers.

The software, dubbed Detego InStore 4.2, offers “real-time transparency” on products via mobile devices, online and at brick-and-mortar stores, according to a press statement.

By using the software and RFID tags on products, a global fashion brand found that it was able to better manage inventory, Detego said, and it increased sales across all three platforms.

The company also claims other undertakings using the cloud-based software have revealed it improved product inventory accuracy, on average, from about 75 percent to 99 percent. The software, which is being used by fashion retailers, such as G-Star and Marc O’Polo, has multiple functionalities, including “click & reserve,” “return-to-store” and “ship-from-store,” to provide retailers with a way to oversee same-day deliveries.

Detego’s software is a recent example of how retailers are striving to provide customers with as seamless a shopping experience as possible in today’s competitive marketplace, according to the latest PYMNTS Omnicommerce Tracker™. The Tracker features industry research and insights that can help merchants with data to make smarter decisions for enabling omnichannel commerce.
