Nissan Taps CarSaver To Support Nissan@Home

Nissan has chosen automotive eCommerce technology provider CarSaver to fuel the new Nissan@Home platform. The automaker chose CarSaver’s online shopping system to support parts of a new purchasing experience for clients following a successful experimental effort with seven dealers, according to an announcement.

“Shopping for a vehicle with CarSaver’s tools is like ordering a pizza, but more fun. It’s easier for both the customer and the dealers, and it saves everyone a lot of time and money,” CarSaver CEO Chad Collier said in the announcement. “We’re thrilled to work with Nissan to lead the way into the future of automotive eCommerce.”

Even though online shopping has become typical for an array of products, according to the announcement, auto sales in many cases necessitate a trip to the dealership to finish the transaction. Ninety percent of clients already shop for cars through the web, but the average buyer spends more than five hours in the showroom even after weeks of research.

The Nissan@Home buying experience integrates functionalities of CarSaver, such as vehicle delivery management technology, eContracting, VIN-specific pricing and payments, and “end-to-end”  buying of new, certified pre-owned, and used vehicles online.

“The ease of using Nissan@Home, and the customization of being able to sign into your own portal and choose your own payments, run your own credit score, and appraise your own trade-in — all in real time and with live, transactional data — is what sets the platform apart,” Eric Frehsee, president of Tamaroff Nissan and Jeffrey Nissan, said in the announcement.

In separate news, AutoNation, Inc. unveiled a bolstered experience for its integrated retailing offering, AutoNation Express, which provides clients with an omnichannel auto shopping and purchasing experience. The firm says that AutoNation Express builds upon customer loyalty and removes challenges in the car buying and services experiences. Its Express product highlights a search that enables shoppers to search through 75,000 new and used vehicles.
