Sur La Table, a specialty retailer of cookware, kitchen electrics and bakeware, will roll out same-day delivery for online orders nationwide by mid-November.
This service will be enabled by a collaboration with Walmart GoLocal, Walmart’s white-label delivery service platform, Sur La Table said in a Tuesday (Oct. 31) press release.
“Teaming up with Sur La Table will allow home cooks across the country the opportunity to fully equip their kitchens with … cookware, delivered with speed by Walmart GoLocal.” Eliza Wendel, senior director and head of sales and business development at Walmart GoLocal, said in the release.
Customers living within approximately 20 miles of a Sur La Table store can take advantage of same-day delivery by placing their orders before 2:30 p.m. local time, according to the release. Orders placed after 2:30 p.m. will be delivered the following day.
Through this partnership with Walmart GoLocal, Sur La Table expands its eCommerce capabilities by adding home delivery to its current offerings, which include same-day in-store pickup through surlatable.com, the release said.
Walmart GoLocal was launched in 2021 as a white-label, last-mile delivery service to help other retailers meet their customers’ delivery demands.
The platform’s latest collaboration comes on the heels of some other companies’ partnerships with Walmart GoLocal.
Automotive parts eCommerce platform RevolutionParts announced Thursday (Oct. 26) that it is working with the platform to expand same-day delivery. The new offering lets automotive parts buyers and sellers order parts online and choose same-day delivery at checkout.
The collaboration is part of what RevolutionParts calls its growing suite of delivery offerings, RP Shipping, which offers parts buyers and sellers greater flexibility in how they send and receive parts.
A month before that, bookstore chain Books-A-Million teamed up with Walmart GoLocal to introduce same- and next-day delivery services as part of its omnichannel transformation. Delivery will be available across all 231 Books-A-Million locations, beginning with the Southeast and Midwest markets.
Orders placed before 3 p.m. will be delivered on the same day, while orders placed after 3 p.m. will arrive the next day.
