Meal kit company Blue Apron is creating recipe options for the Panasonic 4-in-1 Multi-Oven, which features a convection bake oven, air fryer, inverter microwave and a broiler, according to a press release on Tuesday (Jan. 25).

Dani Simpson, Blue Apron’s chief marketing officer, said that Panasonic’s drive to develop innovative products and solutions complements Blue Apron’s commitment to widen its menu options and offer greater versatility.

“We continue to look for ways to sustainably grow customer engagement and retention rates, and we believe this partnership is yet another piece that will help us do so,” Simpson said.

Blue Apron has created select menus for its two-serving menu plan that can be prepared in Panasonic’s 4-in-1 oven. By using a combination cooking approach, people often find that the textures and flavors beat what a regular microwave can turn out.

“Our customers continue to ask us for convenience in the kitchen, without sacrificing great quality and fresh ingredients,” said John Adler, Blue Apron’s vice president of culinary. “By leveraging technology in homes, including Panasonic’s innovative appliance, we can continue to make Blue Apron recipes easier and faster to prepare for new and existing customers alike.”

Select Blue Apron recipes now have additional instructions specifically adapted to the 4-in-1 Multi-Oven, with the intention of boosting the overall cooking experience along with added convenience. The air fryer, for example, can be used to crisp prosciutto, while the convection bake oven can roast vegetables.

“Panasonic is committed to helping customers save time in the kitchen without sacrificing quality or nutrition. Blue Apron shares the same core value, forming a natural alignment between both companies,” said Hiroko Watanabe, Panasonic’s appliance group manager.
