Dutch payments service provider Mollie signed a multi-year agreement with Mazda Motor Europe to deliver frictionless payments for its new marketplace platform that’s focused on improving customers’ digital and eCommerce experiences, according to a Thursday (March 24) press release.
Mollie’s Connect for Platforms portal helps Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), marketplace and other platform businesses to facilitate payments between buyers and sellers, the company said. Mazda is tapping on Connect for Platforms to create a marketplace, scale new products and ensure that payments are sent to the right dealer.
“The future of online sales lies in marketplaces, and we are delighted to be working with Mazda to help them grow this business offering further,” said Ken Serdons, Mollie CCO, in the company announcement.
Mazda will use Connect for Platforms across the U.K. and Europe to offer hosted onboarding, intelligent dashboard and global and local payment methods, allowing regional dealers to sell products and services through the global brand while providing an automated payment solution with local customer support.
“We want to develop an innovative solution that will disrupt the automotive industry, and to do so, we need a partner that is future ready. That partner is Mollie,” said Matthias Sileghem, vice president customer experience, communications and public affairs at Mazda Motor Europe.
Mollie announced the Connect for Platforms launch last week.
