With a new feature created by this collaboration, businesses will be able to connect their Stripe account, set a price and enable their clients to book and pay for services in Google Calendar, the companies said in a Thursday (June 22) press release.
The feature will be rolled out to select Workspace subscribers within weeks, according to the release.
“Stripe makes it incredibly easy to accept payments directly from Google Calendar, so customers can complete bookings and make payments in seconds,” Google Workspace Vice President of Product Management Ilya Brown said in the release.
When a business enables this feature, customers can visit the booking page, choose a time and enter their payment details, according to the release.
“Making appointment booking and payment ridiculously easy for customers means less administrative work and more revenue for businesses,” Stripe Chief Revenue Officer Mike Clayville said in the release.
PYMNTS research has found that the checkout experience is decisive in building customer loyalty.
Ninety-one percent of consumers said a satisfying checkout experience has a substantive impact on their willingness to shop with a merchant again, according to “Building a Better Online Checkout Experience: The Key Features That Matter to Customers,” a PYMNTS and Checkout.com collaboration.
The report also found that consumers have come to expect payment method choice and that nearly three-quarters of consumers used their preferred purchase method during their latest online checkout.
The news of Stripe’s partnership with Google Workspace comes on the heels of several other collaborations announced by the payment platform.
The firm said May 9 it partnered with WhatsApp to enable Singapore customers and businesses to buy and sell directly in the messaging app using credit cards, debit cards and Singapore’s real-time payment system PayNow.
