InvestCloud Names Former Fiserv CEO Jeff Yabuki as Chairman and CEO

InvestCloud, a global provider of wealth and asset management solutions, has announced the appointment of Jeffery W. Yabuki as its new chairman and CEO.

Yabuki brings extensive experience in the financial technology industry and will lead InvestCloud’s strategy and operations, InvestCloud said in a Wednesday (Jan. 10) press release.

InvestCloud interim CEO Richard Lumb will remain with the board of directors.

“I believe InvestCloud is well-positioned to partner with its clients to lead this change around the world,” Yabuki said in a statement. “I am excited to work with this talented team to build value through sustained excellence and innovation in pursuit of next-generation leadership.”

“We are delighted to have Jeff at the helm, given his track record of energizing teams to capitalize on market opportunities,” said Rob Heyvaert, founder and managing partner at Motive Partners, which backs InvestCloud and helped recapitalize the business in 2021.

Prior to joining InvestCloud, Yabuki served as the CEO of Fiserv, a payments and FinTech firm. Under his leadership, Fiserv experienced a tripling in revenue, delivering a total shareholder return of 969% through the end of 2019, per the release.

Yabuki has also held senior leadership positions at H&R Block and American Express. Currently, he serves on the boards of directors of Royal Bank of Canada, Nasdaq, and is the chairman of Sportradar Group.

InvestCloud is a wealth technology platform that supports over 550 wealth and asset managers globally, managing more than $6.4 trillion in assets across its platforms. The company offers a range of services including portfolio management, trade execution, accounting, model management and performance measurement.

The appointment comes as firms are shifting from a growth-at-all-cost mindset to one of growth at a sustainable pace.

“If you go back three years, it was growth at all costs and deploy capital as fast as possible. Now, you’re still allocating capital, but you have to do so with a very strict eye on returns of that capital. Setting thresholds of what might be appropriate levels of return has become paramount,” Heather Bellini, president and CFO at InvestCloud, told PYMNTS in an interview posted in September.
