Diebold has named Andy W. Mattes as its new president and chief executive officer, the company announced yesterday.
Mattes most recently served as senior vice president, global strategic partnership at Violin Memory, where he will remain in an advisory role. Mattes has also held leadership roles at HP and Siemens AG.
“I am excited to join Diebold and lead the company at such a critical time,” Mattes said. “Diebold has a tremendous history with a strong global brand and a solid services and technology foundation from which to grow. The company has taken a number of significant steps to help rejuvenate its business, and I look forward to continuing this work as well as implementing new approaches to strengthen our profile as a technology and service leader.”
