Majority Of Online Consumers Heed Personal Recommendations

A newly released study from IDC and RichRelevance has showed that a majority of consumers in the U.K. turn to personalized recommendations when shopping online, according to a Retail Times report from November 7.

One thousand consumers in major northern European economies were interviewed. Fifty-three percent of U.K. respondents said that user-tailored recommendations have had a significant impact on their shopping choices.

Twenty-six percent of those interviewed said that personalized recommendations increased the likelihood that they would return to a brand or retailer.
