Barclays Glitches Create Consumer Frustration

Barclays suffered a series of systemic glitches on October 31, which included problems in its ATM and online payments services. According to a Finextra report from November 1, the outage caused thousands of Barclays’ customers to vent their frustration on Twitter.

The news comes after the bank’s decision to shutter a number of branches, a popular consumer feature, due to increased mobile banking use.
