Today In Data: Amazon Prime Members

With all of the different smart devices available to consumers today, it’s no wonder that most also seek quick deliveries for online-ordered products.

Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) just released a study that found most U.S. Amazon shoppers are part of the eCommerce site’s Prime membership, which recently hit 80 million in the U.S. alone.

Here are the numbers:

80 million | Total number of Prime memberships in the U.S., a number that’s doubled in the past two years

60 percent | Percentage of U.S. Amazon shoppers that are Prime members

$1,300 vs. $700 | Amount Prime members spend versus occasional Amazon shoppers

$10.99 | New Amazon Prime membership monthly price introduced in 2016

26 percent | Percentage CIRP estimates of customers who have opted for a monthly Amazon Prime membership
