CloudPay Targets Global Payroll Friction

Global payroll can be a major source of friction for business owners. Cross-border payments are difficult enough, but employees must get paid on time and in their own currency.

CloudPay, which says it’s the world’s only cloud-based global payroll service provider, is using cloud technology to make international paycheck issuing easier for employers that hire overseas. In an announcement made yesterday (Sept. 2), CloudPay revealed the newest version of its CloudPay Control service to reduce friction even further.

CloudPay Control 2.0 builds upon existing services to add greater visibility into payroll and overall company finances, the firm said. The newest release adds a task function, providing a digital checklist for employers; a post-approval performance service, to address any issues and errors that arise even after a paycheck is approved; new insight into calendar events, so employers can analyze delays and global events; and monthly performance metrics, giving payroll officials data reports on how their operations are performing.

“As more multi-national organizations find themselves struggling to keep up with the multitude of tasks involved with compensating their global employees, CloudPay seeks to continually introduce new efficiencies to improve the payroll process,” say the company’s CEO Andrew Pearson in a statement.

He added that the new upgrades not only make it easier for payroll officials to get employees paid overseas, but for companies to gain new visibility into their performance and financial processes.

“From delivering unprecedented insight into payroll performance data and helping our customers better manage global payroll, to offering brand new, advanced functionality to provide greater visibility into all associated partners and activities, CloudPay remains committed to introducing the innovations that transform the entire payroll function.

CloudPay Control first launched last year to offer a single platform through which companies can mange country-specific, customer-specific and international processes in a seamless manner. The company said it is rolling out new upgrades in response to fluctuations in market demand for multi-national businesses.
