GoDaddy Strengthens Security Measures

In the wake of an online security crisis that resulted in the loss of a highly valued Twitter account, domain name company GoDaddy has released a new set of security protocols.

    Added measures include more stringent PIN settings and more restrictive lock-out procedures in the event of an unauthorized-access attempt on a user account.

    GoDaddy has not released a statement on the issue, but it did release a comment via its Twitter account to the person who lost his account to a hacker. Many of the suggestions the user publicly made to the company were later added, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 1.
