Yelp Moves Into Reservation Market

Social networking giant Yelp purchased online restaurant reservation startup SeatMe on July 18 for $12.7 million, VentureBeat reported. SeatMe received $2.2 million in cash and 263,000 shares of stock in the deal.

    Yelp is still partnered with popular reservation app OpenTable. The media outlet indicated that it was not clear when this partnership would end, or when SeatMe’s technology would be available to Yelp users.
