Electric Supply Company Chooses SAP For ERP Implementation

Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) administration announced this week that it had signed an agreement with SAP to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiative in the company. The new ERP system will accelerate different departments’ performance, including finance, accounting, procurement, customer care and billing, reported Business Recorder.

Implementation of ERP will be helpful for rapid process, save time, and it would also be helpful for collection of bills, company executives said at signing, according to the news source.

Transparency and merit was the first priority from bidding to the final stage and Abacus was selected after technical and financial comparative review of different firms, said Finance Director Iqbal Ghori, according to the news source. Ghori added that SAP was one of the best companies in the world.

This is just the most recent integration of SAP software. Last month, Amadeus announced that it had entered into a strategic technical agreement to integrate the SAP Cloud for Travel and Expense solution into its e-travel management software. Previously, the two firms had been business partners for more than 15 years.
