MCX members can now utilize mobile payments solutions and launch mobile point-of-sales terminals through the group’s system, the company said in a Feb. 12 press release. MCX’s membership includes more than 70 brands in over 110,000 locations.

“Mobile payments and offers are a critical customer touch point for merchant brands,” Kevin Laracey, CEO and founder of Paydiant, said in a press statement. “We are looking forward to working with MCX to remove the primary obstacles that retailers can face when adopting a mobile payments infrastructure by providing members with greater control over the customer experience. As a result, merchants can engage their customers with the convenience of mobile payments along with personalized offers, promotions and programs that build customer loyalty and increase share of wallet.”

MCX announced that Wendy’s and Acme Fresh Market joined MCX’s growing list of merchants.
