Credible, the startup developer of a student loan services platform, has announced the completion of a $500,000 venture funding round.

Credible aims to address an issue common among many college graduates: high debt loads. The platform enables users to more easily switch lenders, search for better rates and access other resources that make debt management simpler,TechCrunch reported on Feb. 28.

The service includes a simple questionnaire to help users determine whether they are eligible for a number of debt-management tools.

Cthulhu Ventures, Orrick, Cap-Meridian Ventures and Carthona Capital were among the participants in the venture round.

Earlier this month, PYMNTS.com spoke with Pave co-founder Oren Bass, whose platform allows students to crowdsource their college financing. Bass will also be appearing at the Innovation Project 2014, and you can hear what he has to say by clicking here.
