Gett, Curb Team To Let Business Travelers Book Taxis

Taxi and for-hire ride mobility platform Curb is teaming with Gett to add tens of thousands of vehicles and licensed drivers onto the latter firm’s corporate ground transportation platform.

Curb will fuel on-demand trips for corporate travelers in 65 cities throughout the United States, encompassing major metro areas like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C., according to a Monday (April 19) announcement.

“As corporate travel begins to rebound, we anticipate an influx of international travelers in the U.S. and look forward to welcoming them with a safe, reliable transportation option that’s easily accessible through the Gett platform,” Curb Mobility CEO Amos Tamam said in the announcement.

Curb’s driver network will be included in Gett’s technology for corporate travelers, letting users reserve on-demand trips in all of Curb’s markets once it is integrated. Moreover, those who are using Curb and visiting other countries will have the capacity to reserve Gett vehicles in international locations via the Curb app.

“Today’s partnership cements Gett’s position as a technology platform focused on corporate Ground Transportation Management, where spend is worth $79.6B globally,” Gett CEO and Co-Founder Dave Waiser said in the announcement.

Gett, which has 800 staffers working for the company throughout the globe, was established in 2010 and is based in the United Kingdom. It has landed over $750 million in funding to date.

The news comes as Gett wrapped up a funding round with $115 million, according to an announcement in January. The firm intended to accelerate its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system and grow globally with the infusion per the post at the time.

“We are on a journey to transform corporate ground travel, and I’m delighted that investors find our model attractive,” Waiser wrote in a post at the time. “This investment will allow us to further develop our SaaS technology and deepen our proposition within the corporate ground travel market (both travel-related and local ones).”
