Connected Health Firm Pack4U Acquires Pharmacy Tech Company Catalyst

Connected health services company Pack4U is acquiring its long-time technology partner Catalyst Healthcare for an undisclosed amount, according to a recent press release.

Catalyst Healthcare’s patented AdhereNet platform connects pharmacists, patients, and care teams to better manage drug complexity and improve medication adherence.

Pack4U President Rahul Chopra pointed to Catalyst’s CEO Shane Bishop as a “pharmacy thought leader” and called the company’s “proprietary and patented platform” one that will fortify “our ability to meet the needs of patients, providers and health plans.”

Chopra added that Pack4U is devoted to bettering “patient outcomes at scale” and said that bringing everything in-house is essential.

“Catalyst’s proprietary and patented platform strengthen our ability to meet the needs of patients, providers and health plans by offering a full, end-to-end, connected care solution seamlessly integrated with our vast clinical team across all states,” Chopra said.

Pack4U specializes in providing in-home and virtual services that link patients with pharmacists for oversight, medication delivery, remote monitoring and care coordination, according to the release. Offering a full suite of connected healthcare tools, Pack4U provides personalized care for improved outcomes at a reduced overall cost.

Bishop said that Catalyst is looking forward to joining the Pack4U team, which is “transforming in-home healthcare,” and he believes the two companies can “create opportunity for a new patient monitoring paradigm” that will tap the best of what both firms offer for the benefit of patients.

“With central fills for scale and community pharmacy adoption, we will reach more people to change more lives,” Bishop said.

Chopra added that the collaboration aligns with Pay4U’s growth mission while also enhancing its vision of what it means to deliver full-service, in-home care.
