This shift would affect developers for three specific products: Xbox, Windows Phone and the Zune marketplace.
Customers who still possess Microsoft Points after the switch will have them converted into the local currency.
When questioned about this development, a Microsoft spokesperson declined to provide any additional information, stating: “we do not comment on rumors or speculation.”
