Groupon’s New SVP Americas is a Former eCommerce CEO

Groupon named Kal Raman its new senior vice president for the Americas late last week, shifting responsibilities for operations in North, Central and South America away from CEO Andrew Mason.

    Raman is the former CEO of Drugstore.com. Most recently, he served at eBay as General Manager of Global Fulfillment. Prior roles also include CEO at GlobalScholar; SVP at Amazon; and a variety of management roles at Walmart.

    “Kal brings e-commerce and operational experience to Groupon which will benefit our customers and our merchants as we set out to become the operating system for local business,” CEO Mason said in a prepared statement.
