The UK’s biggest online trade recommendation service has announced that it will be joining with Swedish mobile payments provider iZettle, reported by Finextra. RatedPeople.com provides services for thousands of trades that include electricians, plumbers, bricklayers and carpenters. The trial agreement was pursued in order to improve payment security for clients using mobile phones and tablets.
Tariq Dag Khan, the Chief Marketing Officer of RatedPeople.com, said, “Finding alternative mobile payment options for our tradesmen is a high priority for us as we know that there is a stigma attached to cash in hand payments, an issue that is unfairly tarnishing the industry.”
