    More and more banks in Africa, especially South Africa, are beginning to launch customer reward services. The abundance of customer reward programs have led to an increasingly competive banking sector. Standard Bank’s new program is called UCount rewards, and is set to launch sometime in June.

    Account holders will be rewarded for using personal debit, checks and credit cards. The bank explained this service will serve dual purposes: reducing cash withdrawals from ATMs and providing extended customer services.
