Zynga has purchased Spooky Cool Labs, a 40-person social games maker known for games like “The Wizard of Oz,” TechCrunch reports.

    With the acquisition, Zynga receives a number of professionals with experience in socalsocial and real-money gaming. Observers say Zynga, which executed a high-profile round of layoffs earlier this month, is looking to casino gaming to help it recapture favor with investors and consumers.
