July Consumer Sentiment Hits Six-Year High

Thomson Reuters and the University of Michigan revealed that consumer sentiment climbed has hit a six-year high in July 2013, according to Reuters. Consumer sentiment rose from 84.1 to 85.1 on the overall index.

    Survey director Richard Curtin said that the high level of consumer confidence indicated consumer spending would continue to expand through the year’s end.
