Report: Online Banking More Prevalent In U.A.E. Than In U.K.

According to Samena Daily News, the U.A.E. has a greater proportion of online banking than the UK. The report indicated that there are more online bankers in the U.A.E. because of the country’s advanced IT infrastructure.

    The Internet World Stats website indicated that more than 75 percent of U.A.E. bank customers are active online and access financial services on their bank’s website. The same study reports that under 60 percent of UK customers use online financial services. The survey shows that in comparison to the rest of the world, GCC consumers’ Internet usage is increasing at a much faster speed, and a large part of this growth comes from U.A.E. residents.
