According to eCommerce Facts, the Belgian federal supervisory authority reviewed 450 eCommerce websites in Belgium, and discovered that two-thirds were not adhering to the law.

    Several companies were in legal violation because merchants forgot to provide a name, address, and office number or email address on the site. About a quarter of the companies were also caught with price violations such as forgetting to include VAT, and failing to notify customers about delivery or shipping costs. Moreover, about a third of online merchants were not meeting minimum law requirements for contravention conditions.
