Twitter, Stripe Close To eCommerce Deal

Twitter is working closely with Stripe, a payments startup, to develop eCommerce tools for the social network.

    The deal could result in a new way for Twitter users to make payments directly through the site, ReCode reported on Jan. 16.

    While the company declined to comment, Twitter has been laying the groundwork for a more active eCommerce presence on the site.
