Start-Up Round Up, Who’s Getting Funded

Xapo- March 14, $20 Million

Xapo, which is launching a combined Bitcoin wallet and fully insured cold storage vault, has landed $20 million in series A funding round.

Benchmark led the funding round.

 Xapo’s earlier venture was Lemon Wallet, which LifeLock acquired last year for $42 million.

Azimo- March 12, $10 Million

Azimo, a low-cost digital money-transfer company, says it closed a $10 million Series A funding round.

The company will use the funds to accelerate European expansion and target other key markets in North America and Asia.

Greycroft Partners led the round. Accion’s Frontier Investments Group, eVentures, TA Ventures, RI Digital Ventures and KRW Schindler Investments also participated.

Rover – March 12, $12 Million

Rover, an online community that connects dog owners with approved and reviewed in-home dog sitters, announced $12 million in Series C funding.

Rover has secured nearly $25 million in funding to date. The company says it will use this investment to add employees and expand product offerings.

New investor Menlo Ventures led the round. Als participating were investors Madrona Venture Group, Foundry Group and Petco.

Codoon – March 11, $10 Million

 Codoon, a China-based wearable technology maker, reportedly has received near $10 million in new Series A funding.

CITIC Capital led the investment, according to Techasia.com.

Codoon launched in 2010.

Reflektion – March 10, $8 Million

Retail analytics firm Reflektion reportedly has raised $8 million in a Series B funding round.

Reflektion supports a software-as-a-service model that provides a predictive analytics platform for retailers and brands. The company plans to use the funding for customer support.

Intel Capital led the funding round. Nike also participated, as did several provide investors.
