A tweet is about to joins pennies, eyelashes and stars on the list of things one can wish on. As a bonus, due a recent partnership between Amazon and Twitter, those commerce-based wishes made on tweets have a slightly better chance of coming true that those made on stars.
Amazon shoppers can now now tweet products to their wishlists by using Amazon’s second shoping hastag: #AmazonWishlist.

To use the new function, Amazon shoppers must connect their Amazon accounts to their Twitter accounts and reply with #AmazonWishlist to product linked Amazon tweets. Once the new item is added, the user receives an email notification.
Apart from the Twitter roll-out, Amazon is also allowing users to “save-a-photo” and add pics to their wishlists.
This is not Amazon’s first dance with Twitter on e-commerce. Earlier this year they rolled out a feature that allowed users to tweet products to their shopping carts. As of yet, users can not use Twitter to buy directly from Amazon, but the world could be a mere hashtag away from that option, reports C|Net.
Twitter has also been noodling with e-commerce of late and has recently been testing its own “buy” button.
