eCommerce platform BigCommerce continued its series of acquisitions with the purchase of longtime technology partner BundleB2B.

As the Austin-based company — which provides eCommerce service to B2B and B2C companies — said in a Tuesday (April 26) news release, the deal follows BigCommerce’s recent acquisition of B2B Ninja, an enterprise quoting solution.

The move also “furthers BigCommerce’s ability to deliver dynamic powerful eCommerce functionality to B2B merchants at a time when B2B eCommerce continues to boom,” the company said.

BigCommerce notes global B2B eCommerce market is projected to hit $25.65 trillion by 2028, expanding at more than 18% annually.

“Consumer brands may have pioneered ecommerce, but B2B companies are quickly catching up,” BigCommerce CEO Brent Bellm said in the announcement. “At BigCommerce, we provide a platform that is easier to use and faster than legacy B2B solutions and more flexible and powerful than other SaaS platforms. This acquisition further cements our commitment to being the best ecommerce option for B2B merchants.”

BundleB2B was designed with B2B merchants of BigCommerce in mind, joining existing enterprise-focused capabilities with B2B functionality.

The two companies worked together to deliver BigCommerce B2B Edition, which expanded on existing BigCommerce features and streamlined onboarding, support and contract services into one bundle with a single point of contact.

“BundleB2B is the reason we switched from Shopify to BigCommerce,” said P.J. Greco, president of health and beauty brand William Roam. “We want to drive our B2B customers to ordering online as much as possible, and without BundleB2B, we would have to hire a development team to customize a complicated website.”

The deal comes after a busy few weeks for BigCommerce, which recently teamed with lender SellersFunding to bring working capital directly to the platform’s sellers, and debuted

Multi-Storefront, a feature that lets enterprise merchants create and manage multiple storefronts within a single BigCommerce store.
