Report: Starbucks Bagged $1 Billion In 2013 mPayments

A new report suggests that Amazon made as much as $1 billion last year in revenue from its mobile-payment service.

    Business Insider calculated the total based on the number of users and monthly transaction rates claimed by Starbucks, ComputerWorld reported on Feb. 5. Starbucks refused to comment on the figures.

    “We don’t have that information and don’t report those figures,” said Maggie Jantzen, a Starbucks spokesperson. “We’re always looking at new technologies or opportunities but don’t have any details.”
