South Carolina Hackers Compromise 387,000 Card Numbers

South Carolina’s department of revenue has reported that hackers have compromised 387,000 card numbers and nearly 3.8 million social security numbers, reports Finextra.

    The State indicated that around 16,000 of the cards were unencrypted, and encouraged anyone affected to sign up for free for Experian’s ProtectMyID credit monitoring service for a year.
