UK Government Wants Banks To Hand Over Customer Data

The UK’s Department For Business Innovation & Skills wants to give customers more control over the data that companies hold on them. It is threatening banks to legislate to force them to hand over account and credit card data to customers who request it. Lloyds, MasterCard and Visa are some of the companies in the payments sector who have agreed to back the midata project.
