Advantech Buys Majority Stake In AdvanPOS

Taiwan-based intelligent system developer Advantech announced that it will acquire a more than a 70 percent stake in point-of-sale (POS) manufacturer AdvanPOS Technology, DIGITIMES reported on August 15.

    Advantech spent $10.64 million on the sale. However, it hopes to grow AdvanPOS into the largest POS brand vendor in Greater China by 2018.
