Disabled Americans Sue eRetail Sites For Accessibility

Advocates for disabled Americans are suing many online merchants in an attempt to make online stores as accessibly as their brick-and-mortar counterparts, reports The Wall Street Journal.

    The National Federation of the Blink and the National Association of the Deaf have won legal suits against the likes of Target and Netflix, and have gained cooperation with the likes of eBay, Monster.com, Travelocity and Ticketmaster.

    However, the WSJ notes that several courts have already ruled that modern eRetailers do no t fall under the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.
