Google Expands Google Shopping Express

Google is preparing to expand its same-day delivery service to new parts of the San Francisco Bay region, The Toledo Blade reported on September 10.

    “Amazon can get you almost anything under the sun in one or two days,” Matt Nemer, a retail analyst with Wells Fargo, told the media outlet. “But Amazon doesn’t have one or two-hour delivery. This is an attempt to beat them to the punch.” 

    The Blade indicated Google is only letting a few thousand people a day test the service, but that online purchases are delivered within three-to-five hours. For more on this puts pressure on other major eCommerce players, click here.
