Elizabeth Buse, head of Visa’s Global Solutions group, is retiring after spending more than 16 years with the company, Visa announced March 13.

    “Throughout her career, Elizabeth has worked tirelessly to build a stronger, more effective and engaged Visa,” said Charlie Schaarf, Visa’s CEO.

    Buse started in her current role in May 2013, and she began her career at Visa in the product-organization group.

    As part of the announcement, Visa also named Ramon Martin to the newly created position of global head of merchant sales and solutions. Martin previously served various positions at American Express over a 16-year career there.
