This offer results from a new strategic partnership of FreshBooks and Kick, which is a bookkeeping platform designed for business owners and their accountants, the companies said in a Wednesday (Jan. 7) press release.

Kick’s automated bookkeeping capabilities are designed to help U.S. small businesses manage increasingly complex tax and compliance requirements, as well as keep their financial records accurate and up to date, according to the release.

This solution automatically categorizes and reconciles transactions, receipts and other documents, keeping those records tax-ready, the release said.

With the addition of Kick’s capabilities, FreshBooks’ platform now simplifies bookkeeping along with the invoicing, accounting, payments and payroll solutions it already offered, per the release.

“Small business owners don’t start companies to manage spreadsheets,” FreshBooks Chief Growth Officer Faye Pang said in the release. “This partnership gives our customers a simple path to automated bookkeeping through Kick, so they can spend less time on their books and more time running and growing their business.”

Kick CEO Conrad Wadowski said in the release that his company’s offering automates bookkeeping work that was previously manual.

“By partnering with FreshBooks, we can help thousands of businesses get their books handled so they can focus on their business or life,” Wadowski said.

FreshBooks has been expanding its capabilities through collaborations.

The company said in October 2025 that it partnered with Affirm to enable FreshBooks customers in the U.S. and Canada to offer their clients the ability to pay invoices through Affirm, which provides flexible installment plans that start as low as 0% APR.

“Small business owners need tools that match how clients want to pay, which is why we’re thrilled to offer Affirm directly within FreshBooks Payments invoices,” Andrew Gunner, head of product at FreshBooks, said at the time in a press release.

In April 2024, FreshBooks said it was adding a payment solution with the latest Stripe Connect features to its platform, enabling business owners to accept payments seamlessly.

FreshBooks said at the time that this addition would expand its payment operations and help businesses onboard faster, track their payments and improve cash flow.
