The German Banking Industry Committee (Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft) launched a new contactless payment product, which Finextra reports is Europe’s largest trial of contactless payments to date.

    Called “girogo,” the new product will offer a contactless payment option to more than 1.3 million European consumers at a variety of retail locations and gas stations. Infineon Technologies is providing the chip to make contactless payments possible.
