PayPal Partners With Burger King

PayPal announced Monday (Nov. 3) a mobile app deal with Burger King. The payment service is expected to rollout early next year to more than 13,000 Burger Kings and will be compatible on both iOS and Android devices via the Burger King app.

“With the Burger King App, guests can receive exclusive offers and discounts at BK restaurants, find their closest BK restaurant, and browse the menu and nutritional information,” said PayPal Chief Product Officer Hill Ferguson. “We will be rolling out later this quarter across the United States to all locations, BK restaurant guests will be able to securely pay with PayPal by simply launching the app and when they select to pay with PayPal they will be prompted with a four-digit PIN to pay.”

In addition to the collaboration with Burger King, PayPal also revealed a payment option called Pay After Delivery. This option permits customers to pay for items within  2 weeks after making the purchase. The program provides payment flexibility, allowing for a customer to decide when and how they would like to pay for the item purchased in addition to the option to inspect a delivered product before paying for it.

PayPal has been working with GoDaddy to launch its new online store, which offers the opportunity to small companies to build their own website that can also be set up to accept payments. Businesses using the GoDaddy Online Store for  website development will automatically get a PayPal Express Checkout button pre-installed on their website.

Authorize.Net and Cybersource also reported today that PayPal would be available to their 450,000+ online businesses through a single platform, allowing these businesses to accept PayPal in addition to other forms of payment.
