    One of the products showcased was the the NCR SelfServ 8 compact financial kiosk, which offers traditional banking transactions – usually reserved for bank employees – as self-service service to be performed by any customer. The company also presented another solution which would see ATMs perform high-volume cash transactions, allow bill payments, perform bank transfers and produce mini-statements. Mobiles were not left out as NCR presented a functionality that would allow customers to perform cash transaction via their mobile trough 2D bar code technology.

    Also present at the exhibition was Bytes Managed Solutions the exclusive distributor for NCR products and solutions in South Africa, which crafts the majority of its solutions and services offering by adding value to core NCR solutions and services. The company presented a solar-powered ATM solution which could facilitate the deployment of ATMs in emerging markets. “All these are attributes very important for banks in the emerging markets that are considering expanding their reach to remote rural areas where electricity may not be easily available, as part of their social responsibility to offer banking services to everyone and everywhere,” said Costas Koudounias, regional marketing director, NCR Asia, Middle East and Africa.
