Macau Government Chooses Giesecke & Devrient For Smart ID Cards

The Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China’s government has just teamed up with Giesecke & Devrient (G&D), the electronic payment services provider, to create and distribute a new smart ID card that will be contactless and include exciting new features, reported The Paypers. < BR>
The smart ID card has been set to launch in October 2013 and has been authorized to also be used as an ID. The card will store personal data and biometric features inside the embedded chip.
