ICICI Bank Joins Movida For mPayments In India

ICICI Bank, India’s largest private sector bank, announced it is joining Movida, the Visa and Monitise venture that seeks to help customers buy with their mobile phones, a press release for the company said.

    ICICI Bank customers will now be able to use Movida’s mobile payments service.

    “This service by Movida will ensure [customers] can get immediate access to a secure and simple solution that can be utilized even without an active Internet connection,” ICICI Bank’s executive director, Rajiv Sabharwal, said in a statement.
