Total Payment Cards Circulation Jumps 12% In 2012

New data from RBR has revealed that the total number of payment cards in circulation rose by 12 percent in 2012 to 10 million, a release from the company indicated.

    Further, the U.K.-based research and consulting firm predicted that the number of payments cards in circulation will increase to 13.6 billion by 2018. This increase will be driven by strong growth in developing markets, researchers said.
