Global payment solutions provider, Ingenico, announced an agreement with the Nets, a merchant solutions provider in the Nordic countries, to provide parking payment services. The first phase will require Ingenico to provide Nets with an integrated payment solution that includes a PIN Pad and card reader. The service aims to deliver secure unattended parking payments that do not require storing card information.
The company reported that the second phase will be to develop contactless capability. When completed, the initiative will be the first contactless transaction device in the market that has PCI security standards council approval.
“This deal with Nets demonstrates a growing demand for unattended payment solutions and Ingenico’s commitment to meeting this demand with innovative, market-leading technology.
