Annual mobile retail purchases will surpass $700 billion by 2018, a new report suggests.
This amount will account for roughly 30 percent of all eRetail purchases in that year, Juniper Research predicts. In 2012, $182 billion was spent on mobile retail purchases, or about 15 percent of all eRetail shopping.

Increasing retailer investments in mobile infrastructure and rising consumer awareness of mobile shopping will continue to fuel overall mobile retail spending, according to Juniper.
